The latest in women’s coats are the walking coats. And what are walking coats exactly? I’d have to say they are coats that are tailored to be easy to walk in and should be free of frills and furbelows that would get in the way. Most of the walking coats have a tailored look, are smart and are of materials that are not too heavy. Perhaps the best way to describe them is to look at one.  This one I like is at Bloomingdale’s and is by Michael Kors  and is described as a Classic 3/4 length Walking Coat. Single breasted with button front, cutouts on collar and side seam pockets. Smart, practical coat that will take you through the winter nicely. Bloomie’s item # 445194at $395.83.
