circuit city
hawks_4_life asked:

I’m thinking about going to Circuit City and checking out the liquidation sales they have. I heard they are currently selling for 10% off, is that correct? If not, how much? I am also wondering if the price drop is standardized for everything (as in everything in the store has the same amount of % price drop). By the way, in case this helps, I live in Seattle, Washington (just in case the % price drops vary through different stores). Thanks in advance!

I’ve read that it’s a bad deal…not too many good deals at circuit city still

The prices drop are about 10-20% off. Just be warn Circuit City has announce that they will no longer be in busniess anymore. So whatever you buy YOU CAN NOT RETURN!

After the price is raised, then they will take a % off.

Most items are 10%off the original price. Some items are 20%off and a few are 30% off.

    All furniture: 30% off
    Dvds and cds: 20%
    Everything else, including TV’s: 10%

Not enough.. Wait to buy at the last minute… for now it’s just 10% in almost everything… 20% and 30% are rarities..
Look at what you wanna buy and wait, because if they keep at just 10-30% they’ll be full when the closing date comes…
I expect them to go like the Star Trek guy on priceline negotiator.. “Go lower… lower … lower …. now you are negotiating!”

you would be better off not going. if they give any discounts it won’t
be till the last few days. whatever you buy you will have to pay cash
as they aren’t going to take checks or credit cards and whatever you buy
is not returnable. they might be liquidating but that doesn’t mean their
going to give stuff away. there probably won’t be anyone there to give
any technical advice on anything if you have questions as the company
that was hired to do the liquidation has nothing to do with circuit city. if
they do give any big discounts on stuff it will probably be on the small
items like games and software not the big ticket items.

The deals suck. Everything starts at 10% off. Music, dvds, games, and furniture is 20% off, and Monster products is 30% off. Some stuff can be a bargain because the system is a tad bit outta wack. I got WiiFit for 70, but most stuff is not worth buying even at 30% off. Monster has a 70-90% mark up. Support your local retailer and keep those people employed.

I went and had a browse around a few days ago (Houston, TX) and like everyone is saying its mainly 10% off all the big things and then 20% off games, dvds and cds. Like somebody said though, I am going to wait until the last couple of weeks, should see some bigger discounts then. Only thing I noticed big discounts on was display items- but obviously theyve been out on show for a while and with the “no returns” policy, it may be a risky investment!
