If you are a taller woman, be especially careful when you are doing your laundry to watch out for any laundry practices that would cause your clothing to shrink. For example, if you are laundering one or more tall women’s ski sweaters, make sure that you do not hang your wet sweaters on any type of clothes line or clothes hanger to dry. Why is this? Because when wool and cotton get wet, they become very heavy. If you hang a wet, heavy sweater on a hanger, the extra weight will pull it out of shape. As well, make sure that you do not put your wet sweaters in your dryer to dry — the high heat can cause excess shrinkage, which may make the item unwearable later on.
