You’re out of luck once all the Circuit City’s close. Your best bet now is to find the nearest CC and travel to it. Once the company goes belly-up, so do all their warranties, unless they get bought by another company willing to honor previous protection plans.

Take it to Circuit City that is still open and ask them about the coverage being continue or maybe you can call them and ask about who is going to cover your equipment when the store closes.

call your nearest Circuit City and get the number from them about the protection plan. it is going to continue to be covered by the warranty because it’s a third party company that takes care of the plan.

With the Advantage Protection Plan paperwork I have from Circuit City for a Digital Camera I purchased, there are 3 phone numbers to contact for service, divided by product type : 1-800-555-4615 (PC, PDA, Monitors, Printers, Digital Cameras, Laptop) and 1-888-333-2333 (Televisions, Camcorders, Stereo Systems, Car Electronics) and 1-800-871-2761 (Video Game Systems, VCR, Fax Machines, Phones, MP3 Players).

So… As long at the people who answer these phones for Protection Plan Service are not part of the Circuit City group that are now being let go. The Circuit City website says these are run by another company that is not going out of business… We’ll see…
